Secure Folder requires lock screen protection in order to access feature

I have a settings question... This has been a back and forth thing for me. I used to be able to have my Secure Folder password protected without having to have any kind of Lock Screen Security. Get a new device, now I need Lock Screen security. My last two devices, I've been able to have my Secure Folder password protected without Lock Screen Wecurity. Just got the Fold 7 and now I need Lock Screen security again. How can I go back to just have it password protected without Lock Screen Security? What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

What's the point of a secure folder if you take off the auto lock? Then you have an option to lock in 5 minutes, really? How crazy! You could have at least put lock in 30 seconds. Please put the auto lock back on the secure folder. I don't want to keep tapping on the three dots or turning my screen off to lock my secure folder. 😠 #SecureFolder #AutoLock #Security #Tech

Anyone else annoyed that you need a password on your lock screen now to use the secure folder which is aalso password locked? Hopefully they change this.

Well, probably why, it's in the lock screen . I don't put anything on the lockscreen kngds defeats the purpose of a Lock screen. Just my opinion

It's likely because they changed the way the secure folder locks. It no longer auto locks after closing, it auto locks when the screen locks. If you want it to lock after closing, you have to tap the 3 dots and select lock and exit.
