why can i only sync my gallery using onedrive? It doesn't even work as it should i have spent 6 months of my life trying to get my s24, s10, and windows computer so that i could "work seamlessly" across devices" It is utter and beyond Ludacris. if i didn't have so much money put into my devices Samsung would be in the garbage.
I need my files and gallery available on any of my devices.

Galaxy S26@userKNXNgT30nR You could always open Google Photos and enable automatic backup to Google Drive.
I have a Synology NAS (Network drive). Synology has their own Photos app which will automatically backup photos on your device to the NAS.

Galaxy S26Your gallery also, by default, syncs and backs up to Google. You do not (and shouldn't) sync to OneDrive. Since the OneDrive is sync, not backup, any time you delete a photo from your phone it also deletes from OneDrive. Google is a true backup. If you delete a photo from your Gallery, it stays in Google. However, if you delete from Google, it deletes it from your phone as well.
If you truly want to backup your photos without limitation on space, periodically backup your photos to a flash drive or computer. Otherwise, just leave it with the Google backup until Google informs you that you are running out of free storage space. Ignore OneDrive. You can also access Google photos on your computer by going to photos.google.com. Unfortunately, there is no Windows app for it, but you can create a desktop link to the website. There is also the Samsung Gallery app in the Microsoft store you can download to your computer. You also have to download the Samsung account app for Windows (also in the Microsoft store), so that you can log into your Samsung account. Once you have the app on your computer, you will be able to work seamlessly with your photos on your computer.

Galaxy S26This isn't correct. I use OneDrive to backup files from my phone, Surface 8 2-in-1 laptop, and PC. You chose which files are always on the device or just in the cloud or both.
Only if you delete a file from OneDrive does it delete it everywhere, but if you delete it from your device it remains in the cloud on OneDrive.
Also, OneDrive can be configured so that when a file is deleted it remains in the trash bin for thirty days and can restored before it is gone forever.

Galaxy S26I wouldn't waste my one drive space on photo backup, when both Google and Amazon photos has that covered.
