Hey!
I got a Watch 7 a couple of weeks ago and it has never made a backup. Everything is enabled, Iโve tried a bunch of things, and nothing works. I usually charge it before sleeping, since I wear it while I sleep, but last night I left it charging all night to try to force a backup, and it still didnโt work.
Iโm guessing the problem might be my phone (a Galaxy S24+), because I also often have issues with WhatsApp backups.
Has anyone had a problem like this and managed to fix it?
The funny part is that my wife also has a Watch 7 and the same phone model, and for some reason her backups work just fine.

Galaxy WatchIn order for the watch to back up at night, both the phone and watch have to have more than 30% power remaining, must be connected via either BT or wi-fi or mobile, and the phone screen must be off. Best to keep the phone on the charger. The watch backs up to the phone between 1 and 5 a.m. You also have to have set up the Smart Switch app, as backup relies on Smart Switch.

Galaxy Watch@partugyan IME, the watch only backs up during the night when you are wearing it, it is connected via Bluetooth to your phone, and you phone is idle.

Galaxy WatchI don't think you have to be wearing it, as long as it has at least 30% power. I always wear it anyway, because there's no point having the watch if you are not monitoring your vitals while you sleep, but it doesn't say anywhere in the user guide that it must be on your wrist - only that it has to be connected to the phone and the phone has to be idle with at least 30% power. I am sure I had the watch on a charger at least once overnight and it still backed up.
