Galaxy Watch
2 days ago I finally got the UI 8 update for my GW 4. I Started the download and install, but it did not end well. I'm not sure if my battery died during the install or if it was just a failed update. Either way, my watch is stuck in Odin Mode (download mode). I've tried doing doing a factory reset from recovery mode, but once I select recovery, it reboots, then shows the loading "gears" and looks like it's loading, but never gets past 25%, once that screen times out, I get the green droid guy for a second before it restarts and goes directly to Odin mode again. I never get the option to factory reset.
My watch doesn't show up in my wearables app either. The app looks like it's ready to set up a new watch, but can't connect. I can't connect to WiFi due to Odin mode (obviously) so I can't factory reset from anywhere. I'VE LITERALLY BEEN TRYING EVERYTHING I CAN THINK OF FOR 2 TO 3 DAYS AND IT'S JUST A SAD, ENDLESS LOOP!
Can anyone help me PLEASE. I don't want to buy another watch, I like mine! Honestly, I can't afford to buy another right now.

Hi Vickih78, welcome to the Community! I do understand the frustrations youโ€™re having with your Galaxy Watch 4 I would hate to have my watch stuck on a loading screen when I just want it to tell me the time! In this case I believe the best option would be going to a third party servicer, (A Samsung Authorized Service Center). A shout-out to AllOverTechware for recommending this solution.

I would also recommend letting a service technician take a look. As we would like to gather additional information and look at this from a case by case basis, please provide the full model code and imei number of the device as well as your best contact phone number, name, and email.

You will need to go to a authorized Samsung service center and have the software flashed to your device. They have the necessary equipment to do this.

Ubreakifix is where I typically go for my Samsung stuff. It's minimum 30 minutes from me, but take it to one some time if you decide you want to go traveling around

So, You're saying that I should take it to a place that isn't necessarily just a Samsung place, but a place reputable enough to fix it.

Ubreakifix is a Samsung certified repair center. All you have to find are places with Samsung certifications, not a Samsung store itself. I bet even a phone carrier store may be able to help, too. Not entirely sure on that one, but they could help you get a new one if you would prefer an upgrade.

Ok, I gotchya! Thanks for the info. I'll check in with my local Spectrum whom I have my phone through. If they can't help, they can point me in the right direction maybe. Thanks!! Wish me luck ๐Ÿ‘

Just as an update, I was finding it too hard to locate someone to do anything with my watch 4 to fix it, so I opted just to buy new! I ended up going with the Samsung watch 7. So far .. Love it!!

Ah awesome. I liked my old watch 7 when I had it, too. I simply switched to the watch 8 classic for the physical rotating bezel
