Galaxy WatchHello, Welcome to the Community. We can certainly understand your frustration with the watch overheating. Here is an article with some factors that can affect the temperature of the watch. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00076952/
Have you tried performing a reset on the watch? https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00084702/
Also check to see if the software is up-to-date. If the watch is still overheating, then it would be recommended to have the watch evaluated by a certified technician. You could also contact your place of purchase to see what options they may have available. You can use the following link below to request service. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/
or by contacting customer service at 1-800-726-7864.
For an international device, please use this link: https://www.samsung.com/us/common/visitlocationsite.html
We also recommend submitting an error report immediately when the issue occurs to provide this information to the engineering team. Error reports can be submitted following these steps: https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-send-an-error-report

Galaxy WatchI've only had it happen when I am running solo with the watch and without the phone. If I have the phone nearby, I only have Bluetooth on.

Galaxy WatchOthers have noted that it may be the carrier has the watch miscategorized.
I called TMobile and my watch was setup as an ad-on to my phone.
They were able to change that. Just trying to rule everything out. Tmobile said they would also work with Samsung to trouble shoot.
