Home TheaterAs we have read on various social media threads like Reddit, Facebook and even Samsung's own community forum, many users/owners of Samsung Q series sound bars (and maybe others as well) are experiencing various problems like audio dropouts, system freezes, reboots, etc, likely caused by faulty firmware or internal hardware issues. Samsung seems to take a half-hearted attempt to resolve the issue. Many owners report sending their units back for repair only to get them back with the same issue/s. Samsung has been made aware of these issues for months now and have been dragging their feet to resolve the issue. The only recourse left that might get them to act is a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT. With enough users willing to participate and sign on (it only takes two), I know lawyers who may be willing to take on this corporate giant to resolve this issue even it means reimbursement for the full cost of their system. Anyone in?

Home TheaterKeep checking for FW updates. I'm a Q910D owner and got 1072.1 pushed to me sometime over the last 2 weeks. So far, no cut out issues in the last 2 days since I noticed the FW update (was on 1051.0 for all the cut out issues I had). I've turned OFF auto updates while I wait to see if this new FW fixes the issue.

Home TheaterMy Q990D updated from 1051 to 1071 first, and then immediately to 1072. After the two versions were updated consecutively, the issue of it turning off and on by itself disappeared, and I haven't had any other problems yet. The update was on August 28th, so it's been a week. BTW, Does anyone know why it did the update twice?
