LED and OLED TVsSamsung model TU8000 a few years old. Recently I discovered that I didn't need an optical cable connection to my home receiver for audio because the receiver supports ARC and so does the TU8000. After removing the optical cable then enabling ARC on the receiver, my sound system was working, then a day or so ago it wasn't, only the internal TV speaker worked for audio. What happened? And yes, the HDMI cable supports ARC, I checked and as I mentioned it WAS working for a while, then not.
I went into TV's Settings under sound and noticed three choices:
TV speaker
Optical
Bluetooth Speaker List
TV's Sound Setting under Expert Settings I noticed:
HDMI-eARC Mode off
Tried to toggle off to on and got:
This function isn't Available
What's happening here?
I ran diagnostics and all ran with no errors. Cleared cache, etc. Still get This function isn't available when I try to toggle HDMI-eARC Mode to "On".
What I'd like to try next is simply to "reboot" the TV. I vaguely remember seeing a TIZEN screen in times past which I think is a signal the TV is rebooting. How do I do this? Maybe the TIZEN screen appeared after a software update, I don't remember. BTW, my TU8000 is running the latest software - 2700.something which was updated a few months ago.

LED and OLED TVsBump. Is there a way to reboot above TV where one sees Tizen appear on the screen? Or does this only happen when software gets updated?
