My new S90F TV just arrived home today.

I want to open background sound on YouTube when I sleep and the problem is the auto picture off is not working.

**When the screen turn off, the sound is gone too.**

I have reset, clear cache on YouTube, clear data, turn off TV but it's not working.

Could you please help guide me through this?

Hello gr8vs,

Welcome to the Samsung Community, and congratulations on your new television! Weโ€™d be happy to help you adjust the settings to achieve what youโ€™re looking for.

Have you had a chance to explore the TVโ€™s settings yet? On many models, you can turn off the screen while continuing to play audio by navigating to:

Settings > General > Accessibility > Picture Off
(Please note that menu paths can vary slightly depending on the model.)

Once Picture Off is enabled, your TV should continue playing audioโ€”such as from YouTubeโ€”while the screen remains off.

Please give this a try and let us know if it works for you. If not, feel free to share your TV model number, and weโ€™ll be glad to provide more guidance to assist.

This feature is not working for me as well. Settings > General > Accessibility > Picture Off worked in old Samsung QLED, but not working in new S95F OLED. Both picture and sound turns off simultaneously. It is a bug which Samsung and Youtube need to fix. Silly issues like this is not acceptable on a premium TV. Also this feature is widely used to save electricity.

This only happens with YouTube. Maybe Samsung got an agreement with YouTube so people without premium don't get the option to listen to sound when the screen is off. I got premium and on my old Samsung tv, its working without problems but my "new" qled? Nope, not working anymore. I doubt its a bug. I bet its an agreement between this shady companies. Maybe they can't implement it in older smart tvs or don't want to bring out new firmware for the old ones.
