LED and OLED TVsFrom my research it is by design to protect from burn in.(logos, words or designs becoming permanently visible on your display) Music audio should still play on spotify while screensaver is on Youtube, netflix, amazon prime etc will go to screensaver as well if you are on menu screen but should not while watching shows. It is set at 2 minutes and cannot be adjusted. I am guessing Samsung decided tv owners being agrivated without screensaver settings was a better choice then all the tv's ruined with burn in if it could be disabled.

LED and OLED TVsThis solution seems to make the most sense especially sense I'd heard OLED TV's where particularly more sensitive to burn-in. Plus, none of my settings reference a screen timeout either explicitly or implicitly and I don't have the settings the first responder mentioned. Also, it seems settings within a given model can vary based either by size or model year; and the S90F doesn't have a camera to observe the viewers eyes.
However, I don't think it's 100% accurate when it comes to detecting an active show vs dash board or home screen that's inactive. I first notice this issue while watching a youtube podcast that used dual (side-by-side) windows of discussion participants. Granted there was not a lot of screen motion in this setting, yet the issue seemed to vary from day-to-day.
So, as this responder seems to indicate, maybe Samsung decided to limit their liability by eliminating the users access to a time-out period.

LED and OLED TVsI am also having this problem, just started a couple of days ago. So far it seems confined to youtube, and seems to happen when watching shows where the background doesn't change much eg podcasts or an exercise video. It's really frustrating, I understand it's designed to prevent burnout, but it shouldn't also be preventing me from watching what I want to watch.

LED and OLED TVsAlso having this issue with Spotify and YouTube. And it can be while there is motion in the screen (mostly watch game trailers, reviews, mechanical how to's)
It is rather annoying but I just closed YouTube re opened it clicked on the exact same video and it has played without doing it once.

LED and OLED TVsTo further expound on my response to the solution to this issue I posited this question to ChatGpt and this was the response.
OLED TVs
Burn-In Risk: OLED TVs are more sensitive to screen burn-in. This occurs because each pixel emits its own light, leading to uneven wear when static images are displayed for long periods.
Causes: Common causes include watching channels with logos or playing video games with static HUDs. Over time, these pixels can degrade faster, resulting in permanent ghost images.
Mitigation: Modern OLEDs have features like pixel shifting to help reduce the risk of burn-in. However, the risk is still present, especially with improper usage.
I'm OK with NOT having a setting to adjust when the screen saver is activated. Protecting the integrate of the screen is more important given what these TV's cost. However, as I also indicated there does NOT appear to be any consistence; sometimes it will determine the screen saver needs to be activated and other times it doesn't.
Hopefully, Samsung will address the inconsistency in a future update.
