Hello, gmunn, Welcome to the Community! We understand your concern that the Front Load Washer isn't working right since it's giving you the 4C error code. We definitely want to help get your brand-new washer to work as designed.

A 4C code normally is an indication that the washer isn't able to get water into the washer. And you've mentioned that you've checked the water hose connections and the filter.

For the water hose connections, we understand that you've checked that both taps for Hot and Cold should be fully turned on and the hoses connected Hot water to Hot and Cold Water to Cold intake connectors.

Here are a few more steps to try:

  • Make sure that the drain hose is positioned correctly.
     - The drain hose should be positioned so that the end of the hose goes down just 6 to 8 inches into the drainpipe - if you pull on it or wiggle it, it should move freely in the drainpipe.
     -  The drain hose should have some slack between the back of the washer and the drain hose and should not be kinked. (and the drain hose should still be held against the back of the washer by a holder that's screwed into the back of the washer
  • Unplug the washer for at least 1 minute (or cut power at the circuit breaker for at least a minute), then restore power and run a test cycle.

If after checking these steps the 4C error continues, service would be needed.
