Hey all, I was wondering if anyone else faced this issue.
I have this monitor: https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/model/LS34C652UAUXEN/#downloads
I have recently decided to upgrade the firmware from 1001 to 1006. The update went smooth(I only needed to switch to USB C input for some reason for it to detect the update file.)
Once the update has completed, I noticed stuttering and lags, both in windows and games. It felt like the monitor is stuck in 30hz, while signaling its 100hz.
What I tried to fix the issue on 1006 firmware:
- Reset monitor to factory setting
- Reset Nvidia GPU settings
- Change refresh rate in Windows
- Enable VRR
- Change resolutions
None of that helped. The monitor kept lagging and honestly it wasn't useable for me.
So I decided to downgrade the firmware to 1001, that can be downloaded from the support page.
When I tried to install it, the monitor blocked it saying "Your monitor already has newer firmware installed."
My only solution was, to rename the 1001 firmware file to 1007, to trick the monitor.
Once 1001 completed, the monitor went back to normal.
I wonder if anyone encountered this issue? Is the problem with 1006 update?
I'm confused and annoyed as well.

Monitors and MemoryUpdate: So I just noticed a new firmware version is available, 1007.
I was sure Samsung will fix the stuttering introduce in 1006, so why not install it right?
Guess I was wrong, 1007 as well introduce lag and stuttering. They even removed the 1001 version so you can't even revert to the older version. Luckily, I saved it. This is absurd.
