OMADM Error Message

JUMP TO SOLUTION
When I restarted my phone, I get an error that the update was completed successfully. And then, I will get an OMADM msg saying firmware update not completed.

My phone has gone through two updates since rec we owing it and this message came from both updates. But, the firmware finished updating after restarting the first time. This time, not so much.

Every hour it gives the same message. I have cleared the cache for OMADM and am still getting the error.

Any recs on fixing?

Try updating once again now. If that doesn't work:

You may need to try the fix below:

  1. Go to 'Settings' > 'Software update' and hit 'UICC Unlock'
  2. It loads for a moment, then says SIM Restricted... Hit 'OK'
  3. It takes you back to the 'Settings' > 'Software update screen'. Hit 'Download and install'
  4. It loads for a moment, then says Your software is up to date...
  5. Then open that notification saying the profile didn't update.
  6. It loads for a minute, then says Profile updated... Hit 'OK'
  7. It loads again for another minute and says something similarly. Hit 'OK'

Otherwise does the below help?

If that did not correct the issue the next step may be to have the software reflashed. I know this can be done at any authorized service center. https://www.ubreakifix.com/samsung

You may also need to reach out to your carrier on specific firmware update issues like this.

Brand new a21 soing it too. It's many different samsung phones on all USA carrier networks. Been going on for iver a month now. No fix yet. Don't bother doing any if tbe 3 fixes listed: tbey only work temporarily ir until reboot. You can slide the notification slightly to the side and then make it silent and also select "see fewer notifications" nut that just stops the omadm notification. You'll still get the error 0 or error 407 every hour, which crashes my brand new phone sometimes.

Thank you! I saw that list of three fixes and it just didn't make sense to have to do that for a new phone. especially a factory reset.

thanks for letting me know they don't work bc i just wasn't in the mood to try all that and have it not work.
