I just got a UN65U8000FB less than a week ago. setup was smooth with no issues. Still trying to figure out the Samsung TV vs my normal cable programming but I started getting multiple notifications, sometimes several times a day. Notification states "plug-in manager daemon someone try to kill sfpmd!" Can someone tell me what that means and why I keep getting that same specific notice?

Same thing here..

No major issues other than  the same one about kill spfmd!, except my YouTube app in the Roku will only play audio. I can see all selections, but when I click on one, the screen goes black & the audio plays. But if I open the YouTube app on the Samsung part, & not the Roku, it plays fine..

Weird indeed.

SAME THING HAS BEEN HAPPENING TO ME TOO!!! Apps refuse to load and respond with the same notifications (network error) and (someone kill…). I have had this Samsung 43” Class Crystal UHD U8000FB 4K Smart TV 2025 - UN43U8000FBXZA for less than two weeks and have gotten these messages since I set it up. It has worked maybe three days… I thought it was an internet issue until I came here to read all the posts by those facing similar issues. This is unbelievable.

Same issue. Got it from Sam’s Club. Any correlation? Would prefer to know the “why.”

This is odd; We appreciate everyone bringing this concern to the community. I would double-check to ensure your TV's firmware is up to date. Sometimes the TV will say it is up to date, but there could be a newer firmware version available. On your TV, navigate to Settings, select Support, select Software Update. Once you are there, check the current version for your TV. To check if there is another firmware available, go to the Samsung Download Center. You can either select your Product type and then search for your Smart TV or monitor, or select Search your model number to access the support page for your specific model. On the Support page, locate the firmware file for your device under Downloads.

If the TV is up to date, try resetting the Smart Hub. Follow the directions below.
2018 and earlier: Navigate to Settings, and then select Support. Select Self Diagnosis, and then select Reset Smart Hub.
2019 and later: Navigate to Settings, select Support, and then select Device Care. Select Self Diagnosis, and then select Reset Smart Hub.

I followed all the instructions you posted above and its worse now than it was before - what is going on with this TV - you go to scroll and it scrolls all the way to the bottom or top -you can't go one line at a time.  Press Netflix and disney+ pops up.  Thats with the remote that came with it and with a universal remote so its not the remote.  And that error message has been coming up constantly.  Its on version 1104 - i reset the smart hub and ran the update again and it said it was already up to date and that did no good but i had to re-login to everything which was a pain - please explain how to fix this and what that error message  means in the first place
