New Neo QLED TV came with the solar remote. I put the remote under room light, in direct sunlight - it will not charge. I checked to see if there was a protecting film on the solar panel - there isn't.

Any idea?

Are you able to still charge it with USB C?

TBH - I haven't tried that yet. I like the idea of solar charge.

Edit: Yes, USB charging works just fine.

It may have to be a high level of light. Some solar chargers are less efficient than others. I have multiple devices. Some will charge under my 3 way UV LED lamps, but only on the highest light level; others on the lowest level; still others only in the windowsill during peak sunlight.

From the Samsung web site:

"To charge the remote with solar energy, simply set the remote down with the solar panel facing up. You can do this in your living room while your lights are turned on, or you can place it near a window where it will soak in natural sunlight."

The remote sat face down for weeks and I also put it in direct sunlight for hours. Charging level didn't up an inch.

It may be a defective part. I would ask Samsung for a replacement and see if you have the same issue.... I have a solar keyboard that takes ages to charge in direct sun, but one battery bank phone charger w solar charges everywhere in my house under UV LED lights at night and indirect daylight.
