Do the VIP email address in Samsung email still trigger a sound when in DND

Just a question about VIP' emails : do such emails trig a sound notification when they are received while in "Do not disturb" period ?

Hello freestyle-fr, welcome to the Samsung Community! I understand your concerns with wanting to trigger a sound for VIP emails when using Do not disturb. You could set an exception to allow you to receive VIP email notifications while using the Do not disturb feature. 

Open Quick Settings 

Touch and hold Do not disturb icon to up its settings

Swipe to Allowed during Do not disturb section and select from the displayed options

App notifications (you can select specific apps that will be able to notify you when Do not disturb is enabled

The problem is that nothing is written in these settings about VIP contacts. Years ago I had another Samsung mobile (A3 2017) and in the section Do not disturb there was a specific section about VIP.

Now in my A34 5G nothing about VIP. So if I select Email in App notifications I receive Emails from ..... everybody !!!!

So question is : how (or where) to specify that Emails received in Do not disturb period are only from VIP ?

Thank you for the additional information. Just in order to clarify, are you using the Samsung e-mail app or a third-party e-mail app?

I'm using the Samsung e-mail app

In e-mail parameters, at section "Notifications" they refer to VIP but if you tap this section nothing is  available for VIP !

After check on your side, do you confirm that, now, it's no longer possible to receive VIP e-mail sound notification in DND ?

If not, please give me the trick   🙂
