It would be a great feature to be able to use swipe up gesture "quick access" for Google wallet rather than Samsung wallet. Google wallet has cards which I cannot add to Samsung wallet. Therefore being able to toggle quick access to use Google wallet instead would improve user experience.

Good Lock + RegiStar lets you set custom actions for double/triple back tap and side key. You can open any app. Give it a try.

Thanks for the suggestion, I appreciate it.

Good Lock / RegiStar is definitely useful for shortcuts, but itโ€™s still not the same as having the bottom swipe-up Quick Access gesture integrated at the system level like Samsung Wallet. That gesture is much faster and more natural for payments.

Ideally, it would be great if Samsung allowed users to choose which wallet opens with that swipe-up gesture, including Google Wallet.

You can always use the power bottom to open Google Wallet, one long press or double press the power bottom and it will open it.

Samsung is not goibg to do that as they are in direct competition with Google as far as wallets go. If you want quick access to Google wallet, just add it to your favorites row.

I understand the competition aspect, but from a user perspective this puts Samsung at a disadvantage. Google Wallet supports significantly more banks worldwide, especially outside the US. I would gladly use Samsung Wallet if it were supported in my region, but since it isnโ€™t, Google Wallet becomes the only viable choice.

They are never going to give quick access to Google Wallet as long as they have their own.  Google wallet may be more widely accepted worldwide, but Samsung is trying mightily to break-in.  Personally, I prefer Google Wallet, but Samsung Wallet is more convenient because of the quick access aspect - which is precisely the effect Samsung was calculating on.  I have  both on my watch and phone, and on my watch I programmed the home button for double tap to access to the Google Wallet (you can also add a complication for it on the watch face - assuming you have a watch).

You can now add a quick panel icon for it and make it one of your top row 6 or add the app to your favorites row, whichever is more convenient for you.  You can also download Good Lock's RegiStar module and turn on the back tap action to double tap (on the back of your phone) to open Google Wallet, or the aforementioned, button action in a routine.  Many ways to make opening Google wallet easy and seamless.  Of course, the downside to any of these methods is that your phone does need to be unlocked to use them, however you can also put the Google Wallet icon in one of the lower corners of your lock screen for easy access while locked.  You would swipe right or left (depending on which corner you locate it), to activate the wallet.
