Samsung Apps and Servicesa recent update (around jan 2025, i think) seems to have removed the ability to use custom ringtones and notification sounds that i recorded and copied to my phone. it even deleted the folders where those audio files were stored. now the only available options are samsung’s stock tones — there’s no way to browse or select my own files anymore.
i'm hard of hearing, and the stock sounds don’t work for me at all. that’s why i made my own custom audio files in the first place — they were loud and clear enough for me to actually hear them. removing this feature is a *real* problem for accessibility. and also a problem for customization / personalization.
if i wanted my phone to sound like everyone else's — limited only to the stock sounds — i would have gotten an iphone.
i am searching for a workaround, or even a way to downgrade the OS/UI version back to the old one.
this change has rendered the phone useless to me for alarms and notifications.
please advise, thank you.
