My mother just purchased the above tablet and we cannot get her e-mail added to said tablet. The e-mail app on her old S7 is different. The account she's trying to add is an sbcglobal.net e-mail address (from AT&T who purchased Yahoo a long time ago, that she's had for 20 years. We tried tapping on Yahoo and other, but it doesn't want to work.

On the S7 tablet, the app is an e-mail app. On the S10 FE+, it looks like an updated version of this app. What are we doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you aware you can download any email app to use?  You are not obligated to use the Samsung email app. Do you still have the old tablet?  Have you tried transferring everything over to the new device with Smart Switch?  Another option would be to go into the server settings on the old app and see what they are, so you can configure the mail app accordingly.  Sometimes you have to configure the mail settings manually, especially for older email accounts the app may not recognize. All mail apps look pretty much the same, so if the old app was not Samsung Mail, you can look for it in the Play store.  Go to the app settings, and find the "about" section and see what app you are actually using.
