Hi! I have a Samsung galaxy tab a8 2022 which works completely fine but i tried using a usb c to ethernet adapter to connect to my lan port as in my college there are only lan ports available as source of internet and there's no Wi-Fi. I tried enabling and disabling USB debugging as well as default usb config to usb tethering and still i cannot access the ethernet option in my connections settings which is still grey.
My adapter is showing perfect connectivity and there is no cable or port damage.
What should I do in order to access ethernet connection?

TabletsI just did a search and it seems the A8 does actually support ethernet with an adapter, but it needs a specific adapter: "The Galaxy Tab A8 uses a proprietary connector, so you will need a specific adapter for compatibility. " It looks like you will have to search for the specific adapter.

TabletsThis one says it works with the Tab A8. https://a.co/d/db3ZpyE
It does not have a lot of reviews, though.
This one says it works with the S8 https://a.co/d/6WEHJpX but I don't know if that translates to being compatible with the A8. However, people here swear by Anker products.
I cannot imagine why, if Samsung has a product that uses a proprietary adapter, they do not sell that adapter themselves (or at least recommend/link to compatible ones)
You *may* be able to use your current adapter by using an OTG adapter as an intermediary connector.
