How do i show the icon on the home screen when I download the app?

@wsc1955 In phone settings:

Click on Home screen
Make sure that Lock Home screen layout is OFF
Enable the option Add new apps to Home screen

Now... since you probably have more than one page on your home screen that you can swipe right/left to see... Be aware that when a new app is installed, it's icon is placed on the last (to the right) page in the last open slot.
