If there is too much photos and videos, I recommend backing up, then deleting the photos and videos off your main storage, they will stay in the cloud.

If you still have no room, you can use Files by Google or Device Care to help clean up duplicates or junk files.
Device care also sees the apps you have not used.

@Folashade Which exact tablet do you have? Most, if not all, tablets have a slot where you can add a micro SD card. You can move items in your tablet's storage area to the micro SD card.

Hello Folashade,

We understand the need to increase the tablet's memory and absolutely agree with @Chummy128 and @LongHiker on the additional options we have to assist with storage. To expand further on the deleting photos and videos or using a SD card; you can perform these steps for further thorough assistance

1. Clear an app’s cache and data

(Clearing the cache and data for your downloaded apps will erase temporary data that can help your apps run smoothly)

2. Clean your device’s storage and memory

(This will allow you to clear up your device’s memory to make your apps more responsive.)

3. Transfer or remove storage with an SD card

(If you're using an old SD card you can delete unnecessary items or the SD card can even be switched out for a new one.)

4. Delete or disable unused apps

(Please keep in mind: Certain apps cannot be uninstalled, but they can be disabled instead.)

Please let us know if this information is helpful. We'd be happy to assist further; if needed.

Do you mean storage?

Memory is RAM!

To increase storage you can add a Micro SD card. RAM you can't increase. In device care you can take part of your storage and increase your RAM.

You can free up tablet memory by deleting unused apps, clearing cache, moving photos/videos to cloud storage or an SD card (if supported), and removing unwanted files. These simple steps can improve storage without buying a new tablet.

@EmeraldIsle I checked the specs for several Tab A and they do have a micro SD card slot. Which exact Tab A do you have?
