I have a s8 ultra tablet and I whenever I watch something on Netflix, it seems like the video quality is not that great. The quality on other streaming services like Hulu, Paramount, HBO Max seem good. Has anyone else noticed that? Is there a way to fix it?

I contacted Samsung. They told me to reinstall the app. I did that and looks like it is working good now. The playback settings have changed after the reinstall.

Go to Netflix Playback Settings for the profile you want to watch with and make sure Data usage per screen is set for the target quality

Netflix Help Center says if the Widevine is L3 that means the device is only capable of playing SD videos. If its L1 then it should be able to play HD videos. Id there a way to change to L1? It seems like the restriction is from Samsung.20240526_183645_1000014018_1716763008.jpg

@mhelal I have used Netflix a lot on my Tab S8+ with great quality. Have you tried clearing the cache and data of the Netflix app?
