Hello, I need to be able to stop samsung email from downloading messages. Does anyone know how to stop samsung email from pinging the server. BTW the documentation for the samsung email app is none existent, even in the owners manual of the S9FE tablet.

Open EMAIL client->Settings->Click on account->Toggle Sync Email to OFF

What notifications did you approve when setting up Samsung email app? How often did you choose to check for email ? ( sync your email accounts with Samsung email app)

I had sync email on, sync schedule every 30 minutes. I have since changed it to sync off, sync schedule, once a day. Thanks
