Tab S10+ doesn't turn off after One UI 7 update

After the update, the power off button in the power off menu does not work.

I press power and volume down to open the menu with the options to power off and restart. Restart works fine, but power off simply does nothing at all. The only way I am able to turn the tablet off is telling bixby to do so and giving it the extra confirmation it asks me, which takes an unnecessary amount of time.

Is it a known issue and is there a fix?

Go to settings, then Advanced Feature then Side button, you will find long press option, set it to Power off menu. You are all done.

That's not the problem. I can access the power off menu. Power+volume down, long press power button, quick settings panel, I know all the possibilities. The problem is that the power off button in the power off menu does nothing. I touch it twice and it simply goes back to the screen it was before.

Does any button work?  What about the restart button? I know you want the phone to actually go off when you press the power button, but is there a particular reason you need it to shut down rather than restart?  Are you having any issues with that particular area of the screen in any app?

First see if the restart option works, then see if the shutdown option works after the restart.  Then either clear your phone cache, if you haven't already done it.  If none of that helps the actual power off button issue, you will have to send an error report.

Everything works fine, that is what's bugging me. No problem with restart, that area of the screen respond normally, even in this very situation. It is not like it doesn't notice I'm touching the screen. It does. When I touch the power button on screen for the second time (the time when it has moved to the centre of the screen), it simple goes back to the last screen I was in.

It doesn't impact my usability. I basically only shut the tablet down when I'm taking it on a trip where I'll drive for some time to save a bit of battery, and I can ask Bixby to shut down. But it is an annoying error nonetheless. If there's a button that is supposed to do something, it should do it.

@VictorSB Did you wipe the device cache partition after the update? I recommend that you do this after every device update. It wipes out incompatible or outdated cache information which might be incompatible after the update. It does not erase any user data nor applications.

To wipe the device cache partition:

1. Power off your device and connect it via USB to a computer or phone.
2. Power up while holding down the Volume UP key and the Side key until the Samsung logo appears.
3. An Android recovery menu will appear.
4. Use the Volume down key to scroll down to Wipe cache partition.
5. Click the side key to select it.
6. Use the Volume down key to scroll down to Yes.
7. Click the side key to select it. The Cache will be wiped almost instantaneously.
8. Click the side key to select "Reboot system now"

@VictorSB That is weird. My Tab S10+ operates as normal after the update.

As a troubleshooting step, have you tried booting in safe mode? If the device operates properly while booted in safe mode, then you have a conflict with some 3rd party application. To boot in safe mode, https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062983/
