Tablet A9 screen rotation issues

I have a Galaxy S Tablet A9 and have same problem. Rotate button is turned on but doesn't work, did safe mode restart to reset which did not work, took back to factory settings which also did not work. I blame it on OneUI. Microsoft is a huge mistake for Samsung. Samsung was superior several years ago. The more Microsoft has integrated or taken over functions, the worse performance has been. I will be dumping Samsung devices for something not controlled by OneUI or Microsoft.

@pbogue99 There is not really much integration with Microsoft in the your tablet. One UI is purely Samsung. 

Have you ran the diagnostics in Samsung Members app -> Support? It's possible that your tablet has a hardware failure which is causing this.

Does the screen fail to rotate when using specific apps?

Is the home screen allowing you to rotate the display? 

After factory resetting the tablet, have you ensured it is currently running the latest software release version?

If, the issue is related to specific apps, it is likely due to the developer screen orientation restrictions, and you can submit feedback directly to them regarding the lack of the ability to rotate the screen. 

If, the screen rotation does not occur when viewing the home screen then @LongHiker is correct, and you will need to submit a diagnostic report within our Members app.
