Text Messaging Apps for Tablet

 Hi,

I've been having issues with my tablet, Galaxy Tab A11 + The default text app, Google Messages, doesn't work right, and now won't work unless I pair my phone. My phone is broke and I'm getting a replacement soon. Yes I've contacted Google. What I want to ask here is, is there an alternative to Google for text messaging on this tablet? I'm also having issues with the default settings, and I've tried to contact Google, but it's hard to reach them. Any suggestions?

Galaxy Tab A11 +

There are apparently two models for the A11+. I have one that has its own internet connection (not restricted to using WiFi only), which means it has its own "phone number" to text from. Another tablet I have (incidentally not a Samsung, but I assume it would act the same) uses WiFi only, and Google Messages installed; to text from that one Messages would need to link to my phone, and all texts are treated as coming from the phone's number. (It can't pair with my A11+ to do this for some reason; presumably it has something to do with the A11 not being set to make phone CALLS on its own.)

If you have the 5G model, then I don't know, but if you have the WiFi, it relies on your phone.
