What happened to the clear all button on the drop down menu that used to be right under notifications is gone and it's so annoying to have to click on each notification just to clear it. Some can be swiped away but not all of them

Wish there was a way to send private messages to you so we could text instead of going through this message board, but I don't want to post my number on here

You can send direct messages through their member profile. Tap on the user name and when you get to the profile, tap direct message. However, doing that deprives others who may be having the same issue from seeing the steps and solution

This suggestion really cracked me up

"Clear cache and data for One UI Home"—Oh sure, because magically deleting app data will suddenly make Samsung’s UI flawless. Who knew the problem was just a little cache?

"Back up everything and factory reset"—Wow, that’s like telling someone with a leaky faucet to bulldoze the whole house. Might as well just buy a new phone at that point, haha!

Thanks for the "helpful" and "innovative" advice! Next time I have an issue, I’ll just throw my phone in the washing machine and solve all the bugs at once!

By the way, the "Clear All" button only appears once, right after I wipe the cache partition from recovery. But after I click the button, it disappears again.

You know, clearing the data and cache will help in many, not all, instances, because sometimes apps get confused from update over update over update. Clearing the data only resets the app and clears away certain settings, not any actual data.  As far as resetting the phone goes, sometimes that is the only option.  Once again, because updates over updates over updates tend to leave garbage behind, especially if the user doesn't normally do regular "housekeeping" on their phone - optimizing, clearing app caches, clearing the cache partition.  Resetting the phone gives you a clean operating system that has not been installed over an older one, so it does not have to fight with leftover bits and pieces. No one knows but you how you treat or mistreat your device, so they offer suggestions on how to fix things.

I can tell you do no maintenance whatsoever on your phone because you just think that it should work perfectly at all times, and you should not have to do anything to keep it so.

What I know is that suggesting a factory reset for a trivial notification glitch is laughably bad advice. If resetting can’t fix it (which it surely won’t), then congratulations on wasting everyone’s effort and causing chaos.

The root cause here isn’t system bug but a new privacy feature in Android 15 that hides notification content by default. Just enable "Disable screen share protections" in Developer Options and the problem is resolved.  Check this page.

The issue is not trivial for the OP and no one is forcing them to reset. Relax, it was just a suggestion and affects you in no way. If you had a better suggestion, you should have commented on it as a suggestion for the OP, not come on and do an "oh, by the way .." while criticizing someone else's suggestions. And, if the OP does not now how to do the basics, they have no business messing with developer options.
