should give you the option when you try opening samsung messages or try going to your defaults, it does for me but it could also be because your phone is too new.

i have never actually used it before because, you guessed it! my phone always had google messages set as the default messaging app since i got it. so obviously, i don't understand the outrage that much since i'm so used to google's app. i can't switch to samsung's since i need rcs to text with my boyfriend. i GYATTA know what the fuss is about.❤️🩹

mine lasts 3 to 5 hours, so not great. you should probably check notification settings on apps you wanna get notifications from. some have it where you don't see a notification until you unlock your phone.

try opening "individual app volumes" from that app and adding new apps to it, i personally don't use this feature but its worth a shot.
