Sending feedback to samsung here through the members homepage is the best way to voice your concerns, issues and also any requests a user might have. Samsung is unlikely to read any of the posts on the members community as this is a user-user platform.

I agree Google has been involved in shady collecting of user data without user's consent for many years. Google has significant lawsuits pending, one of which is a class action suit in California and antitrust settlement. Google got to big for ones britches. But if you choose to go with google messages, the app has end-to-end encryption (E2EE). This feature ensures that only the sender and recipient can read the messages exchanged between them. Not even Google can read them. Samsung messages is being discontinued, so YOU WILL have to either choose Google or an alternative messaging app. One great alternative is the "Textra" messaging app that you can download from the playstore in the link below. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.textra&hl=en-US

Do you really think Samsung cares about you smashing your purchased phone or devices? The Answer Is NO! The only one going to be hurting is YOU! Unless money means nothing to you, but you will obviously be phoneless and have to shell out more money for another brand phone. Makes no sense to me, but more power to ya.

The best free VPN in my opinion, would be "Proton VPN" due to it's no log policy & strict privacy.

There are numerous posts / articles on this subject within the Members community and online websites on why Samsung messages is being discontinued. I recommend you utilize the search option here within. This is not new news, this has been in the making for 2 years. You will have to switch to Google messages or find another alternative messaging app to use.
