will turn on and off with Samsung remote. The only thing the remote controls is the power. I can not pull up the home screen or anything else on the TV using the remote. The  controls under the center of the TV doesn't work either.

I can watch Xfinity shows using my Xfinity receiver and remote on HDMI3. I can not figure out what is going on and need help.

Sounds like you have the Bluetooth remote, the power button is infrared but all others are BT , try repairing by holding home and play buttons together while pointing at ir receiver on TV, also try searching for TV on phone under Bluetooth search, if phone sees TV then issue is with remote if it doesn't pair.. you can also use smart things app on phone to control TV if both on the same wifi
