Are there studies and evidence that prove that charging the phone to 80% extends the battery life?

Honestly, I tried charging the Samsung A15 to 80 for about two weeks and I am worried that the health of the Samsung A15 battery has decreased because I owned an iPhone XS before the Samsung A15 and I tried to charge the phone to 80 and the battery percentage decreased significantly (but honestly in the iPhone XS the charging percentage ranged from 20 to about 90 and sometimes more. I did not know how to stop it at 80 because Apple did not provide the feature of stopping charging to 80 as Samsung does now).

@osamaorabi Charging your phone to 80% will not harm the battery. Samsung offers this feature because it can offer benefits to battery life over the very long term.

I never do, and my Note20 battery is still good. Time better spent crippling the apps that drain your battery, like keeping your Google account running. I only sign in when I need to.

Here is a discussion on it. 80% is best for li-ion battery. My laptop best for li-ion battery stops charging at 60% and it's on. I have A15 5G International version. Maximum battery protection on.

Techical discussion.
