Message icon was replaced with Google, I want to change it back to Samsung

With recent update my Samsung message icon was replaced with Google. I made Samsung my default and restarted but Google icon is still on home screen. How can I replace the icon?

You might wanna delete the Google messaging app, and move the Samsung messages icon to your home screen.

Help I'm not receiving notifications and I have factory reset my device & I'm only getting very limited texts, seems like I'm texting in a group? I don't want to mess up my device please help
