I bought an A15 5g yesterday at Verizon.  It doesn't come with a charger.  They sold me a Pure Gear charger.  The phone shows its charging but percentage of charge keeps dropping.  Doesn't matter if the phone is on or turned off.  Verizon tells me this charger is approved by Samsung.  Pretty disgusted with it right now.

@Sourdoughjim I've never heard of Pure Gear until today. Looking at the reviews across the web, I wouldn't pick them. If you want a good reliable adapter and cables, choose Samsung or Anker.

Thank you.  I'm thinking the charger is bad out of the box.  The phone is showing negative charge rate per the health app I installed.20241123_165822.jpg

Are you using the charging cable that came with the phone?  The phone doesn't come with a charger, but it comes with a USB cable. Did the charger they sell you have a PD port (USB C)?  I have found trying to charge the phone with a standard USB-A port with a USB-A/C cable is ineffective.  If the charger they sold you is not at least 25 watts and the cable with it is not capable of handling 25 watts or more, you will get the trickle charge.  It is also possible they sold you a defective charger or they sold you a charger approved by Samsung, but not for the newer phones.

I'm using the supplied cable.  This is the charger they sold me.20241123_170231.jpg

Well, it looks like the charger would be capable of a proper charge, but it could be defective. Have you run a diagnostic on the charging port? It could be your actual charging port is defective. Do you have any other device to try 5he charger with or another charger to test with the phone-maybe borrow one from a friend?

Had same issue with A23 5G I got from T-Mobile. Bought a S22 from Back Market it hasn't had any issues. Got a S22+ from Amazon and it hasn't had any issues. Gave S22 to niece after she broke her S21U.
