Notification sounds for messages

The A25 is probably the 4th and likely the last Samsung phone that I have had.  I never had to set notification sounds for Samsung messages before unless I wanted to change from the default.  This phone had nothing set for notification sounds.  I have to set each of my contacts separately.  Isn't there some way to set all contacts to a default sound?

 First photo is screen when I select the 3 dots of a contact.  On second screen you can see nothing is selected even though I have a default sound selected under notification sound.

Sorry to say none of the suggestions worked.  No more Samsung phones for me.
