Samsung Messages be phased out?

I just got the newest One UI update and when I opened my default messaging app (Samsung messages) the system automatically suggested I switch to Google Messages. 

Will Samsung's messaging app be phased out?

There stopping putting Samsung messages on new models but can be downloaded on the store

Don't know for sure but nothing reported as of now that they will subject to change

Coincidence I guess I just got a message to switch to Google messages when I opened the Samsung messages

This is highly likely as Google is finally putting an effort into unifying the messaging on Android.

Google messages is much better as it filters spam automatically and uses Gemini Ai

This is going to sound so stupid but I'm holding out with Samsung Messages solely because I hate the look of the emojis on Google Messages 😭. I can't stand it, I don't even care about my privacy, I just hate those awful emojis
