A Series & Other MobileI was explaining why the app needed that permission, which is what you asked. The phone mic was probably working. In any case, the phone is saying it needs the permission, so give it.

A Series & Other MobileI would suggest deleting your phone's cache partition. Clearly something is corrupted.
1. Power off your Galaxy phone by holding down the power and volume down buttons until it reboots.
2. Let go of both buttons when you see the Samsung Logo appear on screen
3. Allow it a minute or two to boot into recovery mode.
4. Use the volume buttons to navigate through recovery menu options and highlight “Wipe Cache Partition.” Press power button to select this option . Confirm by navigating to the yes response and tapping the power button to select.
5 .When wiping cache partition is complete, "reboot system now" should be highlighted; press power key to select it. The phone will reboot as normal.
This will not harm anything and may clear out any corrupted files that are causing this.
