A Series & Other Mobile@userVHiCoaAiRN That means that the service providing that account that you are adding to Gmail doesn't use the best security available. It's basically letting you know that the other service needs to upgrade their security.

Have you tried both port options?
- Port 143 is the old default port and doesn't use encryption
- Port 993 is the secure port. It provides TLS/SSL encryption
