My backlight itself works because it flashes upon start-up. However, fn+f9 does nothing. My other f keys used regularly work fine, so it's not that they're all disabled.

I've gone through all "solutions" in the community for similar issues; none of those fixes were even possible to try.

https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01109630/ does not work. The Samsung update app shows all drivers are up to date. The Samsung Settings app is version 1.0.49.0 and does not have options for Input or Advanced Settings. The Microsoft Store literally does not have a Samsung Settings app which is the solution in this useless article.

Hello! Thank you for reaching out! I see how this can be frustrating with not being able to get the backlight keys to work.  Since the steps did not work this will require service. Depending on your warranty you have a few options.

- If your device was recently purchased, you can check with your retailer on their return/exchange processes.
- If you have an extended warranty you can reach out to them to have service processed.
- If you're within the one year warranty, you can Private message me or one of our moderators or you can call in directly at 1-800- 726-7864 with your full model and serial number to have service setup
- If you're OUT of warranty, for depot type products (Soundbars, Home Theater Systems, tablets, ect.) that require to be shipped we recommend you speak with our depot team for pricing and to have the service set up: 1-310-669-4334.
