I have bixby to respond by just saying "Bixby", though, if I tell her to lock the phone, it comes out like this, "Bibxylock the phone" therefore she never understand what I'm saying. If I hold the power button and say "Lock the phone". We'll then she ends up doing it, because that's all the text says. This is a problem when Bixby is hands off when telling her to do a simple command. šŸ¤¦ā€

Edit, I have discovered if you say the command before her icon pops up after saying "Bixby", what you say after will show in text properly without the name "Bibxy" tied to the word after. Though, this is frustrating because I can't tell if she heard me unless the icon pops up, and have to repeat myself if they icon never showed up after.

That's the way apps like that work.  You say the wake word and then you have to actually wait for it to wake before you give the command.  If you are away from the screen, or the screen is locked you will not see the icon pop up -- I think there should be some kind of tone so one would know Bixby (or Google, or Alexa) is ready to hear you.  I suggest you try this, though.  When you wake Bixby, count to 2 before you give a command, and see if that helps any.  I don't use Bixby, but I always feel that Alexa deliberately ignores me, as she does not normally respond to my voice the first time, but she will hear someone on the other side of my phone conversation say Alexa and she will instantly respond. Go figure.  You could also try saying, "Bixby, are you awake?"

We'll here another way im trying to explain this. I say "Bixby." i wait a sec, then she wakes and icon pops up. Then i say the command like "Open youtube". She will then read it like this "BixbyOpen youtube". With it being that way, she sometimes just searches youtube saying all that, or says I don't understand. if I say the whole thing before her icon pops up, it goes this way. "Bixby, open youtube". Which is what I'm looking for but I won't be sure she's listening before the icon pops up.
Though I do understand what you mean and the other method you are implying does work as others aswell, but it's a little fustrating in a sense, lol

The bots are not perfect by any means. Sometimes you may think you are waiting a beat but talking too fast and the words run together.  Just like talk to text, you have to go slowly and make sure you leave a space between words.  Isn't there a way to train Bixby to your manner of speaking?  There is with Alexa, not sure about Bixby or Google Assistant, but I think there may be.

I have no trouble with Google or any other. "Bixby". Wait a sec, then icon pops up, wait another millisec, open youtube. She gets- "Bixbyopen youtube".

Everything I've read in Bixby's instructions/FAQ say to not even wait the beat.  Just say "Bixby open you tube" and it should respond accordingly.  It also does say you can train Bixby to more accurately adjust to your way of speaking.  You may not have problems with other voice assistants, but apparently Bixby may need some training.  Also, just like speaking to people, *you* may think you are speaking and enunciating clearly, but in actuality, you are not. I know someone who believes they speak very well, but all I hear is blahblahblabblatherblatherblah; no word distinction or punctuation pauses.
