Custom ringtones and recordings for contacts

Use to be able to have custom ringtones/ background recordings for contacts. That got taken away would much so like that feature back...

Theme or the ar emoji if that's right might have what your after

So far neither i was able to back before the last update to take a screen recording and use it as a call background ans ringtone for contacts now it can only be done for each sim only

Which update are you on? They moved some things around with the contacts settings, so you might have to go through the settings one by one. In *my* latest iteration, which I believe is still the 6.1 version (hard to tell, since they decided not to add the .1 to the last update), the settings to change the ringtone for a contact is as follows. Select the contact, tap the circled "i" to pull up the card, tap the 3 vertical dots on the lower right titled "more" and then you get the options to edit the call background and change ringtone/vibration.

Looks like they took it away for sure that is the way I use to do it. I no longer have edit call background on it just ringtone and vibration. Have tried with the ar emoji but it won't see the video I recorded as an option

Oh. I don't use call backgrounds, just whatever they have as default. I'm good with just caller ID and profile pic, but I do like my custom ringtones.

Go to your contact name and in the bottom right hand you should see more with 3 dots click on that

I have tried that doesn't have the option anymore for call background unfortunately
