Edge lighting for Messages

So I just got the Z Fold 6 this week. I received a pop up on top of my screen and edge lighting effect (when unlocked) and it wakes up my screen when locked if I get a message through Whatsapp or Signal. However, I can't seem to figure out how to have either happen when I get texts through Google Messages. No pop-ups and no edge lighting, just the audible notification alert.

I've got the notifications set to Brief under pop-up and set to turn on screen when locked .

@justin_b Works on my Fold 6. Some things to check.

In phone settings -> Notifications ->Notification pop-up style -> Apps to show as brief. Ensure that Google Messages is enabled.

In phone settings -> Notifications -> App Notifications, make sure that Google Messages is enabled.
