I have a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 and I want to use the Google Phone for calling and voicemail. On my Motorola Moto G Power (2024) there was a tab on the bottom for voicemail, but on my Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 it's not there. I can't disable my Samsung Visual Voicemail app so I contacted my provider to see if they could do anything. They told me that I cannot disable it as that's the only app for voicemail on my phone, but installing Google Phone and "accepting" everything will set Google Phone to default for my voicemail, which.. it isn't doing.
Is there a way I can get my voicemail to work with the Google Phone app and my Galaxy Z Flip6?
I never had Samsung VVM on my phone - any of them. I do have T-Mobile's VVM on my phone, so I don't know why you cannot disable or uninstall Samsung's app, unless you have a carrier locked phone and that's the only app they're allowing--which some carriers may do if they don't have an app of their own.. My phones are unlocked. Nevertheless, I don't see why Samsung's VVM wouldnt work with the Google dialer. It could be the dialer detects a VVM app, which is why it's own VVM component does not show up.
