Feature Request: Bring back mute from Volume button on the side of the phone

I have ZFold 7 - and I am with the OP. I cannot go to Silent on my phone either, only goes to Vibrate. To set Silent now requires going into Volume settings. Its very annoying, especially in those instances where you need to silence everything quickly!

Do what I did and create a quiet mode - only change the sound mode to mute rather than vibrate. You can the put a single mode widget on your home screen to quickly activate it.

I guess you can set a routine or something. But that's not the same.

There are already controls to mute the volume without vibration.  They are easily findable in the settings.  Yes, one can set a routine or mode for various volume configurations and there is nothing wrong with that, and it is *exactly* the same thing, except you don't have to fumble around and do it manually.  I have several modes for when various volume levels are appropriate and it's just a single tap to activate a mode.

In the end, anything that solves your problem is the correct way to solve your problem.
