The issues began last night, September 22nd. When the phone is opened, the screen goes black and the system "crashes" or something to that effect. After closing the phone, it turns itself back on.
After the crash, the audio and under screen camera stop working. A temporary fix of restarting the phone manually will return audio/camera functions. However, opening the phone causes the issue to restart.
I bought the phone new at launch. The only previous issue I've had was needing the inner screen protector replaced.
I contacted Samsung Care and followed their advice: - Clearing the system cache and performing a reboot helped some; I could actually open the phone and most functions seemed to work, except videos and music apps
- I performed a factory reset and it actually reversed the small improvement made before
- Next I'll be taking the phone to the closest approved mobile repair shop to see if they can identify the issue and a solution
