Hey @SamsungMobile, I have some feature suggestions for the upcoming Z Fold series that I believe could enhance the user experience.

1. Gesture-Controlled Volume Button:

A flat, gesture-sensitive volume button where users can slide up or down to adjust the volume, similar to how the power button integrates the fingerprint sensor.

The button could still be physically pressable for added flexibility.

Adding customizable single and double-tap actions (e.g., app shortcuts or quick commands) would make it even more functional.

2. Built-in S Pen:

Integrating an internal S Pen slot would solve a real issue for users like me who donโ€™t like using phone pouches just to carry the S Pen.

Offering two versionsโ€”one with an S Pen and one withoutโ€”could cater to different budgets and preferences.

3. Refined Camera Design:

The under-display camera (UDC) on the unfolded inner screen is fantastic and adds to the seamless design.

However, the visible hole-punch camera on the outer screen breaks the uniform aesthetic. It would be amazing if Samsung could introduce an under-display camera on the outer screen as well, creating a clean, uninterrupted look on both displays.

I truly believe these improvements would make the Z Fold 7 stand out even more and reinforce Samsung's leadership in foldable innovation.

Thank you for considering these suggestions. Iโ€™m excited to see whatโ€™s next for the Fold series!

Best regards,

Jonah Obiman

That's okay too I get that and your view is totally valid but it would be nice to just have it off rip.

Plus I've seen many YouTubers saying that there has been low "engagement" with the fold spen hence why they think it's cute to get rid of it entirely and I'm not amused. They're slowly turning into the Korean Knockoff of Apple in terms of poor upgrades and alarming downgrades!

The only reason why there's low sales is because some ppl don't want to pay extra for something that they should of had in the first place. If I owned an S Ultra, I'd be mad if I had to pay $80 bucks just for an Spen attached with a sh!tty Samsung case that doesn't even protect the hinge. That's exactly what I had to do with my fold 5!

Plus when they start charging for AI features by the end of this year then it'll really be crickets, I don't need AI that much to pay monthly for it, the fck? ๐Ÿคจ

Samsung seems more interested in REMOVING features from their devices each iteration. MicroSD Slot, Headphone jack, Replaceable battery, now S-Pen support.  They are quickly losing all the previous Note series users and will lose a bunch more with the 7.  Seems they think everyone wants a Super Megapixel camera, as if THAT is the judge of a great phone. It's getting out of control. 200 Megapixels is fine for those of you creating giant poster size images, but the file sizes are already TOO LARGE to even send without scaling them down, so what's the point? When does it stop, when the photo you take is 1TB in size? I've been holding out since Z Fold 4 for a REAL upgrade, not minor tweaks for the added cost to upgrade and so far, nothings been worth it. Most of the "features" they touted today are part of ONE UI 8 which we'll all get soon enough, so what's the point. ANd what's the point of having an ultra thin phone when the cameras stick out and double the thickness in your pocket. How stupid do you think we are? We won't notice this HUGE bulge in our pocket? The loss of the S Pen is a deal breaker for me. Fold 5, Fold 6 and now Fold 7 all seem to be losing more features than they gain, so no thanks Samsung. Hopefully the Fold 7 will suffer the same fate as the Note 7 and they can go back to the drawing board and put functionality BACK into their hardware.

Hey Samsung Members!

Just wanted to share my thoughts on the recent Unpacked event this July. First off, I have to commend Samsung for the impressive strides made with the new phones! The camera upgrades, in particular, are truly fantastic and a clear testament to Samsung's commitment to innovation in mobile photography. The advancements in overall device performance are also very much appreciated. However, I also have some significant feedback, especially concerning the new Fold phone. While I understand the drive to create incredibly thin and sleek devices, the removal of S Pen capability on the inner display is, for many of us power users, a major loss. A key determinant supporting the Fold series' premium pricing, in my assessment and that of many others, is the device's appeal to enthusiasts seeking the best of Samsung's features within a compact form factor. Whether it's for crucial business inquiries, quick sketches in a brainstorming session, or taking detailed notes during a meeting, the S Pen has been an invaluable tool that truly leverages the expansive internal display. It transformed the Fold from a great phone into an indispensable productivity powerhouse. The idea of having to purchase an additional accessory to regain a core functionality that previously set this device apart was deemed an incredible value to me. Furthermore, while durability improvements are always welcome, the internal display of the Fold, even with the latest advancements, still feels vulnerable. Navigating, drawing, and taking notes with my fingernail (due to the S Pen removal) concerns me when considering the potential for basic scratches on a screen that is meant to be a primary interaction point for power users. Samsung, I strongly recommend prioritizing the integration of comprehensive S Pen functionality in the forthcoming iterations of the Fold series. It's a feature that truly differentiates the Fold in the market and caters to a dedicated segment of your user base who rely on that functionality for their daily workflow. The pursuit of thinness should not come at the expense of core utility for your most invested users. What are your thoughts on the matter?

I hate that they're removing the spen and not including all the Ultra cameras. Why do they speculate that we want thin phones with the features of a $200 phone? Why do they speculate that we want thin phones with the features of a $200 phone? I use my Fold 6 for taking notes with the pen and was excited to upgrade to the 7 and get a bigger screen even though the cameras still suck but it turns out there's no pe. It's over $2k and their cameras are **bleep**, so why change my phone? Right now I'm selling my z6 and keeping just the Ultra since I use both phones. Samsung sucks. ๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ˜ก

Samsung understands that some users like me decided to say no to Apple for your SPen on almost all your devices.

How do you release a multitasking powerhouse and take away the most important tool for multitasking on a Z fold, the S pen?? This is mind boggling! Without the S pen, you lose a major portion of functionality. Now, users will have to go back to their tablets to perform functions that'll require stylus support. If we have to go back to our tablet, why even own a fold?? The Z Fold 7 has taken us backwards in seamless functionality. This is unfortunate! Bring back the S pen support!

Would love to get the new Z fold 7, but with no S pen support that's a VERY BIG DEAL BREAKER for me.
