i just got the oneui8 update for my zfold5. in the past i used the audio-output of my monitor over hdmi and it never failed. however since the new update, audio over hdmi doesn't work, no matter if "use external device" for audio is on/off, audio is always coming from the speakers in the phone. plz fix this, cause i was using it for listening to music and watching videos, and this bug or unimplemented feature takes away some major reason i was using dex and my phone at all so far
ok i solved it, looks like this setting is available now in the dex controll-center (when clicking on the mobile-connection icon), and media-output. phone was chosen as the output-device, and switching it to hdmi solved the issue. i guess the setting mentioned above, would be the one that automatically uses hdmi or the external device when the phone is in dex mode, but in my case it was on (like it was before the update), and audio was played on the phone. so this was kinda confusing. sorry for the user-error, the new dex looks nice btw!
