The wife has an app that sometimes randomly shows my phone with its username as an iPhone and then randomly as an Android again. How is that even possible?
Is it the carrier app? I find that it sometimes gets it wrong. When I switched to the A54 from the S10 lite, my carrier's app said I had an iPhone in gold instead of an A54 in lilac. It's inconsequential in the scheme of things. My carrier assured it did not affect service in any way.
Thank you for the response. I have seen strange things like that with computers and networks. She's all worried that it's showing an open port and she's wondering if there is somebody spying. I thought it was a little strange also, figured I'd ask. Thanks!
It also may appear in your Google account where it shows currently connected devices. Sometimes Google has different device descriptors for the same device. If that's the case she can log out any device not recognized and change the account password (if she wants). The worst that happens is if you sign out the wrong device, you will have to sign back in.
