Galaxy Ring
I just got a Smart ring a few days ago and I was wondering if it is ok when I wash my hands or take a shower I know that the ring can get wet but would it be ok to use soap and shampoo while wearing the ring I have read on the internet that you can and that it can ruin the sensors please let me know thank you for your time

I play it safe and always take my ring off prior to showering.

As I understand it the ring, like the watch, can track water activities like swimming.  Even the watch instructions say don't wear it in the shower as soap may damage the sensors.  So, water is OK, soap is not.

I don't think it was actually in the instructions for the watch (I don't have the ring), I don't remember where I saw it, actually. But I did see it. I think it would be logical to assume if soap is bad for the watch, it would be bad for the ring. Also shower and bath water is usually hotter than pool water, so hot water is also likely to play havoc with the sensors

Officially you can but I don't trust like that. Ring comes off when there's soap and hot water involved

I have been showering, shampooing, handwashing etc. with the Ring for at least a couple of months now with no issues.  I do the same occassionally with my Garmin watch to keep it clean.  Never had a problem.  I do take the ring off for applying lotion or dishwashing when handling greasy items.
