Updated my phone this morning and now messanger chat heads no longer function. I no longer get notifications in the small bubble and can't display messanger over other apps. I've made sure everything is still on in settings. Restarted the phone and reinstalled the app.
I was having the same issue today. I had to search in settings for 'bubble' (which is in notifications > advanced settings > floating notifications) then enable the bubble setting on android. Then I had to go to the notification > messenger settings and enable 'show as bubbles'... very convoluted process but it worked for me. Hope this helps!
