Smart Call keeps stopping once opening call log after update

I've updated my device Samsung galaxy s9 today, after the update the smart call app keeps stopping each time I open the call log.

What can I do to fix this

this solution does not work on my Note 9. In fact I tried rebooting as well and the other solution in this thread (Wipe the cache via command page and reboot). None of the solutions solved the problem. That is probably because the cause is the recent software update not the app or a full cache.

The issue appears to be tied to the "Recents" tab in the Call app - the app stops working as soon as you open "Recents". Temporary fix is not use this feature. Next time "Smart call has stopped working" pops up press "close the app". When you reopen the Call app immediately press "contacts" or "keypad" and keep it on either these. This will let you dial as normal.
